This precovery was reported to the MPC in August 1999. In agreement with G.V.
Williams it was considered as uncertain, because the length of the trail
was deemed to be not sufficiently significant. After the recovery of the object
by Boattini et al. (M.P.E.C. )
the 1953 positions were verified and included in a new orbit determination which
was published in this M.P.E.C.
